Design of the Month

We at Storybook have embarked on a new blog style for our web-site. To kick things off, we have introduced our Design of the Month category where each month we will endeavour to post our favorite designs which will be hard, because we really do love them all… These homes will range from designs on difficult sites, small to large budgets, traditional, contemporary & beach homes. They may be in a draft sketch style or in a completed project presentation.

Our first contribution is a proposed subdivision in a leafy metropolitan area of Melbourne. The clients brief included the need to operate a home based artists studio & a point of sale for their works. We opted for a mix of contemporary styling with traditional shapes. Increasing the width of the home to the north maximises passive solar gains. Indoor / outdoor was a priority together with a sense of entry for both the home & the studio. The clients were delighted with our design response and have proceeded onto plans & permits…..

Would you please give me the approximate kit price for the Mt. Eliza contempory as well as an approximate full build. Do you also have a floor plan. We have a sloped block with views.

    Many thanks

      Hi Deborah,

      Thank you for your enquiry.
Our homes are individually designed for our clients land, wish list and budget. Having a sloping site is a perfect example of that, as all blocks are different shapes & sizes and a individual design is a must. The Mt Eliza House is roughly $300,000 with a Kit price of roughly $120,000, this again is catered to our clients set budget & wish list. Please take advantage of our obligation free appointment with our designer, this appointment will give you a very clear indication of design and cost catered to your needs. Please refer to ‘contact us’ for details.

    Hello,
Can you tell me please if you have any display homes in Adelaide SA?

    Thank you In advance

      Hi Vicki,

We did look into the prospect of display homes, however interest in our product stretches Australia wide, and we simply wouldn’t be able to reach everyone.

We also felt that by it’s very nature, our product strives to bring a unique vision to a Storybook close. No two clients have the same vision, and we could never express the complexity of what we do through a display.

If you would like to see more of our work, we offer Skype appointments, and can also send out information packages.

We do provide kits to SA, and would love to hear about your vision.

      See ‘Contact Us’ for details.
